White Paradise

LOCK CHUCK was such a nice find near my hotel in Guangzhou. Exhausted from shooting around the city and needing to duck out of the rain, I was greeted with such warmth by the owner Chuck and his staff. The cafe's hospitality and laid back vibes seemed to be a contradiction to the multiple "Delay No More" signs displayed there... against the original English meaning hinting at a sense of urban hustle...and against the Cantonese twist that sounds like a strong insult to one's mother. What was also amazing was how I met 3 fellow photographers there, all of whom didn't know each other. There's something magical about this space, and I hope I'll get to visit again soon.
